Who’s the best boys basketball team in the state? Hard to argue against two-time defending PIAA Class AAAA champion Chester. The Clippers seized a dominant 58-41 win over three-time defending Class AAA champ Neumann-Goretti at Neumann University, thanks in large part to a combined 34 points and 25 rebounds from Richard Granberry and reigning Daily Times Player of the Year Rondae Jefferson. Matt Chandik has the story. Jack McCaffery was also on the scene and he chronicles how Chester just got tired of hearing the doubters. The rest of the high school roundup leads with Cardinal O’Hara track All-Delco Allison Sharkey helping the Lions claim the indoor Catholic League championship with a 128-104 win over Archbishop Ryan.
