Girls Basketball: Super 7

As seen in Wednesday’s edition of the Daily Times.

1. Cardinal O’Hara

2. Notre Dame

3. Archbishop Carroll

4. Episcopal Academy

5. Bonner-Prendergast

6. Garnet Valley

7. Upper Darby

After blowing out Archbishop Carroll last week, O’Hara takes over the No. 1 spot. My reasoning is simple: The Lions have convincing wins over No. 3 Carroll and No. 2 Notre Dame. Though Episcopal Academy defeated O’Hara in December (it was O’Hara’s season opener), Notre Dame has beaten EA.

The great thing about girls hoops in Delco is the top programs are all intertwined in some way.  They all end up playing each other.

The next big game is Sunday, when Carroll and Notre Dame play at Lower Merion as part of the Hoops for Hope  Classic.
